RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ACCEPTING
CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY TO BE RETAINED AS
OPEN SPACE (EUGENE F. & DOROTHY N. ARNTZ)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to accept, on behalf of
the City of San Rafael, a Gift Deed from Eugene F. and Dorothy Nelle
Arntz for property covering approximately two acres adjoining Ridge
Avenue in San Rafael, California (AP 186-051-02 and 03), more par-
ticularly described in Gift Deed attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and
made a part hereof.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly intro-
duced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on Monday, the fifth day of February, 1979, by the following
vote, to wit:

Records; thence along said southerly boundary of said Ridge

CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE OF DEED
BY A GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 27281 requires
that deeds or grants conveying any interest in, or easement upgn,
real estate to a political corporation or governmental agency for
public purposes shall not be accepted for recordation without the con-
sent of the grantee evidenced by its certificate or resolution of
acceptance attached to or printed on the deed or grant; and
WHEREAS, Section 27281 also states that a political corporation
or governmental agency, by a general resolution, may authorize an officer
or agent to accept and consent to such deeds or grants; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael on April 3, 1978, adopted
Resolution 5437 authorizing the Mayor of the City of San Rafael to
accept deeds or grants to the City of San Rafael and consent to the
recordation thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, the undersigned, Lawrence E. Mulryan, Mayor
of the City of San Rafael, does hereby accept the attached deed or grant
dated December 17 , 19 79 , and consents to the recordation thereof.
