RESOLUTION NO. S -moo 7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE PUR-
CHASE OF 20.65 ACRES OF OPEN SPACE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
To purchase for the sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00)
all that certain real property said to contain 20.65 acres at the end of
Graceland Drive, San Rafael, California, as more particularly described in
Marin Title Guaranty Company preliminary report #108297EIC, a copy of
which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part hereof; and
To authorize the City Manager to sign all necessary papers
pursuant to the acquisition thereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held
on Monday , the 15th day of November , 1976, by the
following vote, to wit:

Mayor Bettini

DESCRIPTION: City of San Rafael - County of Marin - State of California
BEGINNING at a stake driven in the Easterly boundary line of the Mountain
Park Reservation, distant South 35128' East 145 feet from a post marked
"PR 10" driven at the most Northerly corner of said reservation which is
described in a Deed to Wm. T. Coleman recorded in Book "J" of Deeds at
page 306; thence along said Easterly line, as now fenced, South 35128'
East 127.5 feet, South 34014' East 402.5 feet, South 39031' East 1136.2
feet, South 16035' West 146.2 feet and South 20003' East 249.3 feet to a
stake at the Northwest corner of a vineyard; thence leaving the
reservation and descending; a steep hill, North 87020' East 1162.8 feet
to the center of a graded road; thence along the center of said road,
North 49000' West 81.8 feet, North 86015' West 190.8 feet, North 34030'
West 61.4 feet, North 05040' West 124.4 feet, Idorth 08057' East 165.5
feet, North 10038' West 55.7 feet, North 29018' West 219.6 feet,
North 35042' Lest 199.4 feet, Ilorth 71059' Nest 92 .feet, ilorth 32118'
West 203 feet and North 27007' West 170 feet; thence leaving the graded
road, up a steep side hill, South 86102' West 1004.2 feet to the point
of beginning.
EXCEPTING the graded road and the open road referred to and shown on the
plat attached to the Deed to Louis B. Parrott, recorded August 2.0, 1890
in Book 12 of Deeds at page 442.
ALSO EXCEPTING the portion that lies Northeasterly of the Northeasterly
line of Coleman Drive, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the Westerly line of Prospect
Place with the Northeasterly line of Coleman Drive, said point being
the most Southerly corner of the parcel granted to Ena Rossura Adams,
et al, by Deed recorded January 23, 1940 in Book 392 of Official Records
at page 197; thence Northwesterly along the Southwesterly boundary line
of the Adams parcel, and along; the Northeasterly line of Coleman Drive
(said Drive being shown as "Open Road" on the plat attached to the Deed
to Parrott - 12 Deeds 442) to the Northerly boundary line of the above
described lands; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said lands,
407.2 feet, more or less, to the Westerly boundary line of Prospect
Place; thence Southerly along said Westerly line to the point of beginninf
