RESOLUTION NO. 5262
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
5.67 ACRES OF OPEN SPACE (A.P. #11-084-41)
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael adopted Ordinance No. 1198,
adding to the Municipal Code Title 19 entitled Open Space; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Planning Commission has recommended
the acquisition of certain real parcels of real estate designated as
potential open space; and
WHEREAS, that certain real property said to contain 5.67
acres (A.P. #11-084-41) as described in "Exhibit A" attached hereto
and forming a part hereof as though fully set forth herewith, is
within an area designated potential open space; and
WHEREAS, the property hereinabove referenced as "Exhibit A"
has been offered to the City for the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars
($20,000); and
WHEREAS, the public has had an opportunity to address the
Council on this matter and all other relevant matters considered;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
To accept the offer to acquire the property referenced as
"Exhibit A" for the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000).
To authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary papers
pursuant to the acquisition thereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly intro-
duced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on Monday, the 7th day of March, 1977, by the following
vote, to wit:
