RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER VACATION
OF ALICE STREET, SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, it appears that Alice Street hereinafter
described is unnecessary for present or prospective public
purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of the STREET
VACATION ACT of 1941 of the State of California;
2. That the City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby declares its intention to vacate Alice Street which is
hereinafter described;
3. That Tuesday the 6TH day of SEPTEMBER, 1977, at
eight o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers at the City Hall,
in the City of San Rafael, State of California, is hereby
fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the said proposed vacation.
4. That the Department of Public Works of the City
of San Rafael shall post conspicuously notices of street
vacation along the lines of said public street proposed to be
vacated, which notices shall be posted not more than three
hundred feet apart but at least three notices shall be posted
as to said street proposed to be vacated. The said notice
shall state time and place of hearing as hereinabove provided,
and the adoption of the within resolution of intention.
5. That said street proposed to be vacated is
described on Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and incor-
porated herein by this reference, as though set forth in full.

6. That a map or plan showing said street proposed
to be vacated is on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of San Rafael, at the City Hall, San Rafael, California.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a REGULAR meeting of the Council of
said City held on MONDAY, the 1ST day of AUGUST, 1977, by the
following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN Nixon
