Three applications were received in the City Clerk’s Office by the deadline of Tuesday, February 13, 2018. COMMUNITY OUTREACH: The call for applications for the Zero Waste Marin Local Task Force was advertised in Snapshot (the City Manager’s e-newsletter), the City website, NextDoor and Facebook social media platforms. This started in 2017 and winter play is taking place twice-weekly at the Al Boro Community Center gymnasium. In the past I've served on committees within the Dominican/Black Canyon Neighborhood Association. In 2017 as a member of the Sustainability Sub-Committee of Dominican University, I worked closely with multi-parties, including Marin Sanitary Services and Epicurean Group (food service) to start composting in our cafeteria. This has been expanded to the cafe located in the same building. I initiated offering our adult classes through San Rafael Parks and Recreation - which is beginning the summer of 2018.
