SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
Department: City Manager
Prepared by: Cory Bytof, City Manager Approval•
Volunteer Program Coordinator
SUBJECT: Resolution of Appreciation for volunteers of special merit.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution.
BACKGROUND: Periodically, individuals or groups are presented Resolutions of Appreciation to
recognize their outstanding efforts on behalf of the City of San Rafael. Typically, these individuals or
groups are contributing a service of some kind on a voluntary basis and therefore receive no financial
reward. Seven years ago the Volunteer Program established an annual Good Neighbor Award to
recognize individuals from all over San Rafael in a formal way.
ANALYSIS: The following recipients epitomize the notion of giving back to the community and deserve
Council recognition for their efforts on behalf of the City of San Rafael: Andree Jansheski, one of the San
Rafael Clean Coalition's most tireless and dedicated volunteers; Pam Dixon and Karen Neilsen, two
Library volunteers who have been a critical part of the library's success and community outreach; and
Mark Lubamersky who has volunteered extensively for the City and community in a variety of capacities.
FISCAL IMPACT: None
OPTIONS: None
ACTION REQUIRED: Adopt Resolutions.
