Home My WebLink AboutCC Resolution 4527RESOLUTION NO. 4527 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, the public interest, convenience, necessity and welfare require that the real property hereinafter mentioned be accepted and used for the benefit of the public of the City of San Rafael, California; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael, California, does hereby accept that certain deed for and on behalf of the City of San Rafael and the real property described therein, all as more particularly described and set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and the Clerk of said City is hereby directed to cause said deed to be duly recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Marin, State of California, forthwith upon the adoption of this resolution. (Deed dated June 5, 1973 from County Tax Collector to City for three (3) Tax -Deeded Properties; A.P. Nos. 14-063-32, 16-161-46 and 185-271-16). I, MARION A. I % 'i F County Clez]; of said County amZrl ex-officLo clerk of the said Superior Court. by Depmzty RESOLUTION NO. 4526 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL REQUESTING MODIFI- CATION OF ANNEXATION OF N.Y.-CAL INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION ANNEXATION AND LANDS OF BLACK CANYON, COMMONLY KNOWN AS CITY PRESERVE ANNEXATION WHEREAS, on the 11th day of July, 1972, the Local Agency Formation Commission did approve, without notice, hearing or election, the annexation of Xoperty known as the N.Y.-Cal Industrial Corporation and the Lands of Black Can- yon, commonly referred to as the City Preserve Annexation; and WHEREAS, said annexation has not been completed, but a request for an extension has been requested and granted, extending the time for annexation for one year; and WHEREAS, it is impossible to tell at this time whether the annexation of the N.Y.-Cal Industrial property and that of the San Rafael Sanitation District will be completed or not as there are many details to resolve; and WHEREAS, the property encompassed by the lands of Black Canyon, consisting of four parcels, including land owned by the City of San Rafael, will be completed within the next one year; and WHEREAS, it would be in the best interests of the City of San Rafael to proceed with these two annexations separately, that is, the annexation of the four parcels com- monly known as the Lands of Black Canyon, and to also proceed separately with the annexation of the property known as N.Y.- Cal Industrial Corporation property and the San Rafael Sanitation District; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to request and get approval from the Local Agency Formation Commission to proceed in this manner, u 916`111 A L 1. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: That the Local Agency Formation Commission is hereby requested to modify and amend their approval for the annexation known as the City Preserve Annexa- tion, so as to provide for two annexations, to wit, (1) the annexation known as the Lands of Black Canyon, (2) the N.Y.-Cal Industrial annexation; and to approve each of these annexations by separate resolutions, without notice, election or hearing.
