NEW BUSINESS
Final Library Facilities Assessment Report from Group 4 – The board discussed the report in
broad terms. Cantarutti was particularly impressed with the example photos of what a new
library looks like. The board mused about what staffing increases would be required to support
new facilities.
Key Statistics from 16/17 - The board was curious as to why adult program stats had increased
so dramatically. Bankhead explained that the adult services dept. had been putting on more
programs and that certain programs such as All Things Apple have been steadily gaining in
popularity.
Final budget report from 16/17 – The board was curious about how, in the Parcel Tax section of
the Revenue and Expenditure Summary, the Audio/Visual Materials budget was overspent due to
a miscalculation by one of the librarian selectors. Bankhead explained that the selectors often
faced a daunting in reconciling their expenditures in several online systems.
ADJOURNMENT
Meeting adjourned at 7:20 pm.
