On April 3rd, City Council approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the San Rafael City
School District to allow the public library to provide every school child with a library card. We
will begin work on this project immediately.

Library Activities
Library Facilities Project
On March 15th, Group 4 Architects presented the results from their library facilities assessment
project, including the extensive community survey that was done. Some Board members were
present. A follow-up meeting was held with Library staff and the New Library City Council
Subcommittee which led to action items going forward. The next step will be for the Library to
work with Group 4 on a report and presentation to City Council.
