Present: Chair Stephen Mizroch, Vice Chair Larry Luckham, Nadine Hade, Elias Hill, and Alternate Stan Burford. Staff: Acting Fire Chief Bob Sinnott. Public Attendance: Linda Barnello. 1. Open Time for Public Expression. Ms. Barnello praised the staff who assisted with a recent medical incident and raised the issue of the right to sleep in public places along with the fire risk this could pose. 2. Approval of Minutes: M/S Luckham/Hill to approve the minutes from the December 11, 2019 Fire Commission meeting. All Ayes. 3. Fire Foundation Report. No report this month. 4. Historic Subcommittee. No report this month. 5. Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority JPA Report. Board members discussed individually reaching out to FireSafe Marin President Rich Shortall about how to support the Measure C campaign. 6. Commissioner Reports. The Commissioners shared various general information updates pertinent to the San Rafael Fire Department and the fire service industry. Commissioner Hill provided a summary of his involvement with the Public Safety Center (PSC) lobby mural focus group that was held on January 7th. Discussion of the PSC lobby art followed. Vice Chair Luckham shared detailed on a new electric fire truck manufactured by Rosenbauer. The all electric fire engine was recently displayed at the Menlo Park Fire District. 7. Annual Report. The Commissioners discussed the 2019 Fire Commission Annual Report. At the next meeting, the Commissioners will suggest goal statements for the 2020 Calendar year. 8. Social Media and Webpage. The commissioners discussed how to expand on current information on the Commissioner’s page of the Fire Department section of the City Website. Suggestion made to release one Twitter topic per month. Suggestion to create link to vast collection of photos on Photo 50 website. Acting Chief Sinnott summarized Department activities since the previous meeting. 10.
