PRACTICES Projects will consider how to mitigate and reduce wildfire hazard while managing for ecological health Additions to ordinance have not changed the subjectivity to CEQA San Rafael recognizes the importance of Environmental Best Practices and has brought on new team members with strong environmental and natural resource backgrounds: Kate Anderson, California Registered Professional Forester, B.S. in Forestry with a concentration in Wildland Fire Management Gavin Albertoli,ISA Certified Arborist, B.S. in Forestry and Natural Resources with a concentration in Forest and Environmental Practices Simon Wright,B.S. in Forestry and Natural Resources with a concentration in Wildland Fire and Fuels Management IMPLEMENTATION AND SUPPORT One-on-one education via inspections/ evaluations Expanded Chipper Days coordinated by FireSafe Marin Direct assistance to remove vegetation for qualifying property owners through partnership with AmeriCorps MWPA grant
