Winter Wonderland and Snow taking place downtown on Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26, 2005;
Parade of Lights, November 25, 2005 — 5:30 p.m.
Ms. Mackle also announced that this year, the "Invest in Pickleweed Campaign", the community fundraising

Lights where a video and plans could be viewed and donations made. Collection boxes for donations
would be placed in sixteen local bank branches, the Friends of San Rafael website
www.friendsofsanrafael.org was up and running accepting online donations, and a mailer would be sent to
all San Rafael households affording citizens an opportunity to donate. Ms. Mackle stated that the
Redevelopment Agency was excited to be part of the campaign that Community Services and the City
Council had been working so hard on.
Chairman Boro added that the idea of including the community drive as part of the Annual Parade of Lights
started with a conversation with Heidi Kuhn several weeks ago. He thanked staff members Nancy Mackle,
Carlene McCart and David Donery, and Agency Member Miller, for all their involvement and efforts, and
indicated he understood the Marin Independent Journal intended to support the campaign. Noting it would
be great to afford the community the opportunity to participate in Pickleweed, Chairman Boro stated that it
was planned to wrap the campaign up in the first part of January and he looked forward to the opening in
the spring of 2006.
There being no further business, the San Rafael Redevelopment Agency meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM.
