TASK ORDER NO. 28.3
(Amendment to Task Order No. 28)
Surveying + Utilities Discipline
Albert Park Field ADA Bathroom Project
Contract Amount: $9,000
THIS AMENDMENT TO TASK ORDER No. 28 is entered into on Ger-& A-4
between the City of San Rafael, a municipal corporation ("City"), and BKF Engineers, ("Consultant")
RECITALS
A. The City and Consultant have entered into a Master Consultant Services Agreement
("Agreement") dated December 12, 2019 under which Consultant has agreed to perform professional
Surveying + Utilities services for the City.
B. Pursuant to the Agreement, on January 14, 2021, the City and Consultant entered into
"Task Order No. 28" under which Consultant agreed to perform Surveying + Utilities services in
connection with City's Albert Park Field ADA Bathroom Project (the "Project"), as specified in Exhibit
A attached to and included in Task Order No. 28, for a total not to exceed $33,800.
C. Pursuant to the Agreement, on February 26, 2021, the City and Consultant entered into
"Task Order No. 28.1" under which Consultant agreed to perform additional Surveying + Utilities
services in connection with the Project, as specified in Exhibit A attached to and included in Task Order
No. 28. 1, for a total not to exceed $21,200, changing the total of Task Order 28 not to exceed $55,000.
D. Pursuant to the Agreement, on September 24, 2021, the City and Consultant entered into
"Task Order No. 28.2" under which Consultant agreed to perform additional Surveying + Utilities
services in connection with the Project, as specified in Exhibit A attached to and included in Task Order
No. 28.2, for a total not to exceed $6,000, changing the total of Task Order 28 not to exceed $61,000.
E. City now requires additional design services for the Project, and the Consultant is willing
to provide such services.
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Consultant agree to amend Task Order No. 28 as follows:
AGREEMENT TO AMEND TASK ORDER NO. 28
1. Section 1 of Task Order No. 28, entitled "Scope of Services," is hereby amended to include the
additional services set forth in Consultant's proposal dated August 16, 2021, attached to this Amendment
to Task Order No. 28 as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.

2. Section 2 of Task Order No. 28, entitled "Date of completion; Work hours estimate; Cost estimate
and budget; Fee schedule" is hereby amended to include the additional services, work hours estimate, cost
estimate and budget set forth in Consultant's proposal dated August 16, 2021, attached to this Amendment
to Task Order No. 28 as Exhibit A, for an amount of $9,000, changing the total not to exceed to $70,000.
3. Except as specifically amended herein, all of the other provisions, terms and obligations of Task
Order No. 28 dated January 14, 2021, as amended by Task Orders 28.1 and 28.2, shall remain valid and
shall be in full force.
4. Signatures. The parties have executed this Amendment to Task Order No. 28, as of the date first
written above.

DESCRIPTION:
City is seeking Consultant's input on foundation alternatives and
associated long-term maintenance considerations for the baseball netting
system and foundation design, in an attempt to reduce installation costs.
In general, the applicability of the following alternatives will be analyzed
and discussed in memorandum format:
Ability to use different foundation design details for corner poles vs
interior poles, including spread footings for interior poles

➢ Adjust pole spacing to reduce foundation depth/size
➢ Other value engineering solutions to reduce costs associated with
foundation installation
The memorandum will include a discussion of anticipated long-term
maintenance considerations, such as netting re -tensioning or pole rotation
correction.
Additionally, this amendment covers additional time geotechnical
consultation, both previously -provided as the City's request, and additional
coordination to support the foundation alternatives analysis.
