4. Downtown Events -Great Race 2006: -File R-181 x R-140#8
Economic Development Director Nancy Mackle issued a reminder that the conclusion of the
cross-country Great Race 2006 takes place in Downtown San Rafael on Saturday, July 8 from
11:00 a.m. — 5:30 p.m.

Member Miller inquired as to television coverage. Ms. Mackle explained that the
"Spirit of San Rafael" car, with participants Mayor Boro and Vice -Mayor Phillips, would be featured
on the Speed Channel as one of the five rookie teams. They would also be tracked through the
Marin IJ website www.marinim.com and hopefully, in the actual press as well. Staff would make
inquiries as to the availability of the Speed Channel locally and would also procure videotapes.
There being no further business, the San Rafael Redevelopment Agency meeting was adjourned at 8:27 PM.
