FILE R-62 x (SRCC) 8-18 x 8-9
Economic Development Coordinator Stephanie Lovette reported that this was an annual report
prepared for the state. An Affordable Housing Report to provide the Agency Board with information on
where the Redevelopment Agency was on affordable housing was also included.
Referring to Assessed Valuation Data — Fiscal Year 2006 — Chairman Boro requested further
explanation.
With regard to the Assessed Valuation Data on the State Controllers Report, Ms. Lovette explained that
the Agency's assessed value at formation was $162,545,228 and it has grown to $1,768,912,474. The
tax rate is 1 % of the Assessed Value which the Agency was entitled to; however, the agreement with
Marin County limits the tax amount the Agency can receive.
Executive Director Ken Nordhoff confirmed this was the growth since the formation of the
Redevelopment Agency over probably a 25+ year period.
Member Heller expressed thanks for the good report on affordable housing.
Member Heller moved and Member Phillips seconded, to approve the Redevelopment Agency Annual
Report, including Blight Progress, Agency Owned Property and Affordable Housing Reports, and
forward them to the City Council for review and approval.
