Contract Amount: $15,005
THIS TASK ORDER is entered into on 03/19/2024 between the City of San Rafael, a
municipal corporation ("City"), and BKF Engineers ("Consultant").
RECITALS
A. The City and Consultant have entered into a Service Level Agreement ("Agreement")
dated June 19, 2023 under which Consultant has agreed to perform certain professional consulting
services for the City; and
B. Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, the City wishes Consultant to perform certain
tasks as set forth in this Task Order, which constitute the Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Consultant agree as follows:
AGREEMENT
1. Scope of services. Consultant shall provide any and all of the services set forth in Exhibit A of
this Task Order, dated November 22, 2023 as directed by the City.
Jason Kirchmann shall be the Project Manager for Consultant for this Task Order. Additional
professional services may be performed by other Consultant staff with prior notice and approval by City.
a. Citv's duties. The City will:
(1) Determine the scope of services, as set forth in Exhibit A.
(2) Make available the project plans and specifications and other City data related to the
project, including full information as to the City's requirements.
(3) Designate Megan Kelly as the person at the City responsible for monitoring performance
under this Task Order.
b. Consultant duties. The Consultant will:
(1) Provide and perform tasks identified in Exhibit A, Scope of Services.
(2) Provide miscellaneous consulting and other services related to the Project and not
stipulated elsewhere in this Task Order, when requested by the City in writing. A Task
Order Amendment is required if these additional services cannot be performed within the

Task Order budget.
2. Date of completion; Work hours estimate; Cost estimate and budget; Fee schedule.
With regard to each project given to Consultant that is subject to this Task Order, the time of completion,
work hours estimate, cost estimate and budget and fee schedule are set forth in Exhibit A to this Task Order.
3. Authorization to proceed.
The City will give Consultant authorization to proceed with the work specified in this Task Order only after
Consultant submits updated insurance certificates and endorsements, in accordance with Section 10 of the
Agreement.
4. Service Level Agreement terms; Conflicts.
Except as expressly otherwise provided herein, all terms of the Agreement shall apply to Consultant in the
performance of work pursuant to this Task Order. If there is a conflict between this Task Order and the
Agreement, this Task Order shall control.
4. Amendment of Task Order: Conflicts.
Except as provided in Section 1(b)(2) above, this Task Order may not be modified except by an Amended
Task Order executed and approved in the same manner as the Task Order.
Signatures. The parties have executed this Task Order, as of the date first written above.

This is a Task Order request associated with the contract between BKF Engineers and the City of San Rafael dated
June 19, 2023 and is governed by the terms and conditions therein.
DESCRIPTION:
In general, BKF will perform the following tasks:
1. Limited Play Area Topographic Survey: BKF will provide a topographic survey of visible
surface features highlighted in yellow on the attached Exhibit A. It is understood that
the attached exhibit is not an as -built or accurate map and is to be relied on for general
features to be located, regardless of their actual location on site. Underground Utilities
are not included.
2. Future Project Topographic Survey: BKF will provide a topographic survey of visible
surface features highlighted in blue on the attached Exhibit A. It is understood that the
attached exhibit is not an as -built or accurate map and is to be relied on for general
features to be located, regardless of their actual location on site. Underground Utilities
are not included.
TASK(S): All topographic surveys will include spot elevations and 1-foot contours. The Vertical Datum
will be referenced to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88). Tertiary GPS
measurement will be used to place the horizontal control for the mapping approximately on
the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83), for GIS orientation purposes only and will be
considered as "assumed".
3. Boundary Survey: Based on a cursory review of publicly available records, it appears the
Park is situated on two parcels, that said parcels are shown in their configuration on
various recorded maps and that sufficient monumentation exists to retrace those maps.
BKF will plot the lines based on the recorded maps relative to the topography described
above. BKF is not proposing to perform title work or services warranting a Record of
Survey as described in Section 8762 of the California Professional Land Surveyor's Act. If
such situation looks like it may occur, BKF will cease work and discuss next steps with
the City. Easements will be plotted on the mapping, if provided by the City and/or a title
companv to BKF prior to the commencement of field surveving described herein.
SERVICES TO BEGIN: Upon receipt of written authorization
TO BE COMPLETED: Task 1: Within two weeks of authorization, Task 2: One additional Week, Task 3: One additional
week; weather permitting
DELIVERABLES: Topographic Map signed and sealed by professional in charge. AutoCAD provided as a courtesy.
