FY 2024-25 Proposed Assessment Public Hearing

City Council Meeting
Purpose of a Public Hearing
1.Any interested person, prior to the conclusion of the hearing, may file a written protests with the clerk
2.During the hearing, City Council may order changes in any of the matters or the Engineer’s report
3.If a majority of assessed persons protest against the increase of an assessment of any previous year exists, the proposed increase will be abandoned.
4.If a majority protest has not been filed, the City Council may adopt a resolution confirming the diagram and assessment, either as originally proposed or as changed.
Background
•Formed in 2011 to repair and maintain 29 medians across eastern San Rafael along Pt. San Pedro Road
•Extends from San Rafael High School to Biscayne Drive
•Both City and County properties are assessed

Assessment is comprised of two separate funds:
-Annual debt service: $58.70 per EBU
-Operations and Maintenance: $57.28 per EBU
-Total FY 2024-25 EBU Assessment
