RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION FOR
BYRON LEYDECKER
WHEREAS, BYRON LEYDECKER has generously and tirelessly donated
time and effort toward the betterment of his community; and
WHEREAS, said BYRON LEYDECKER has further proven interest by his
willingness to serve his community as a
Member of the Board of Trustees for the
San Rafael General Hospital
San Rafael Military Academy
Marin County Humane Society
Treasurer for the
San Rafael Rotary Club
Marin Chapter of the American Red Cross
Member of the
Marin Industrial Development Foundation, Inc.
Chamber of Commerce
Elk's Club
Member of the Vestry of St. Paul's Church
Campaign Chairman for the 1961 Marin United Crusade; and
WHEREAS, BYRON LEYDECKER, although a part of this community for
only three years, has endeared himself to its residents, as well as community and
business leaders, by the increasing desire to do his utmost for those fortunate
enough to know and work with him.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, that it wishes
on behalf of the people of the City of San Rafael, to express to him their
sincere and genuine appreciation for the outstanding service so generously
given to his fellow citizens; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council declares its reluctance
to see him leave the community but, at the same time, extends to him their sincere
wishes for success in his new position.
