ORAL COMMUNICATIONS OF AN URGENCY NATURE: 8:35 PM
Pickleweed Park Communitv Center and Librarv: - File 9-1 x 267
Ed Duggan, San Rafael, congratulated the City Council on the creation and maintenance of the Pickleweed Park
Community Center and Library. He stated: "This facility is patronized by people who respect what was built and now
maintain. By attendance at the programs and care for the building and grounds, they show their appreciation for the City's
investment. There is no graffiti or other vandalism. Pickleweed Center is a model of what the City can do.
Many people fear going into the area. I found that I get a warm welcome because I have a secret password —'Buenos
Dias' and in return I get a warm, wide smile and a returned `Buenos Dias' which turns into a friendly encounter.
Pickleweed Community Center and Library is a home -run for the City of San Rafael."
Mr. Duggan expressed thanks.
