GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION
ELECTION PROCLAMATION CALLING, PROVIDING FOR AND
GIVING NOTICE OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN
THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECT-
ING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OFFICERS, AND OF A GENERAL
ELECTION IN SAN RAFAEL SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SAN
RAFAEL HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ELECTING MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, ON
MONDAY, APRIL 8th, 1963•
BE IT RESOLVED that in pursuance of the applicable
provisions of law and the Charter of the City of San
Rafael, it is hereby ordered and resolved by the Council
of the City of San Rafael and notice is hereby given
that a General Municipal Election will be held in the
City of San Rafael, and a General Election will be held
in San Rafael School District and San Rafael High School
District on April 8th, 1963 for the election of officers;
that the offices tobe filled and the candidates for such
offices are set forth in the list certified by the City
CIferk to said Council, of which the following is a copy:
To the Mayor and Council of the City of San Rafael:
I, W. L. MORGAN, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
State of Cal ifornia, hereby certify that the following is a
correct list of the offices to be filled at the General
Municipal Election in the City of San Rafael and a General
Election in San Rafael School District and San Rafael High
School District to be held on Monday, April 8th, 1963, and
the names of the candidates, nominated therefor, as required
by the Charter of the City of San Rafael:
FOR MAYOR: (One to be elected for full term of 2 years)

FOR COUNCILMEN: (Two to be elected for full term of 4 years each)

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and the
seal of the City of San Rafael, this 19th day of March, 1963•

Electors residing in San Rafael School District or San
Rafael High School District outside the City limits of the
City of San Rafael are entitled to vote at said election
only for candidates for members of the Board of Education.
The polls shall be open between the hours of 7:00 A.M.
(P.S.T.) and 7:00 P.M. (P.S.T.).
This resolution shall be published once .a week for two
successive weeks before said election in the Independent
Journal, a daily newspaper of general circulation printed,
published and circulated in said City and hereby designated
for said purpose.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of March, 1963 by the
following vote, to -wit:
