RESOLUTION NO
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO FORM
SAN RAFAEL CAYES DRAINAGE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of San Rafael,
California, as follows:
1. in its opinion the public interest and convenience
require, and that it is the intention of said Council to order the
formation of a drainage maintenance district in said City, to be
designated "San Rafael Cayes Drainage Maintenance District", by

which name it shall hereafter be referred to in all subsequent pro-
ceedings, including proceedings for the levy and collection of taxes.
2. Said drainage maintenance district, and the boundaries
thereof, benefited and to be assessed for the maintenance and opera-
tion of the improvements hereinafter referred to, are situate in the
City of San Rafael, State of California, and are more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" hereto attached and incorporated herein by
reference.
3. It is ordered that the expense of maintaining and operat-
ing all reclamation works, including levees, bulkheads, breakwaters,
earth fills, rip rap and block walls, and all storm drain pipes,
manholes, catch basins, pump stations, channels, ditches, lagoons
and appurtenances now -existing or hereafter to be constructed in said
District, including the cost of necessary repairs, replacements, fuel,
power, electric current, care., supervision and any and all other items
necessary for the proper maintenance and operation thereof, shall be
assessed wholly upon the real property lying within the district above
described, which district said Council hereby determines will be the
district benefited by the maintenance and operation of said improve-
ments, and that the amounts so assessed are to be levied and collected
in the same manner and by the same officers as taxes for City purposes
are levied and collected. Nt
4. The San Rafael Independent Journal, a newspaper published
and circulated in said City, is hereby designated as the newspaper in
which this Resolution of Intention shall be published, and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be
published by two insertions in the manner• and form provided by law.
5. The City Clerk shall cause to be conspicuously posted in
three public places in said proposed district, Notice of the Proposed
Formation of the San Rafael Cayes Drainage Maintenance District, in
the manner and form required by the Improvement Act of 1911, and
amendments thereto.
6. The City Clerk shall also cause notice of the adoption of
said Resolution of Intention to be mailed to all persons owning real
property within the boundaries of said maintenance district, which
notice shall contain a statement of the time, place and purpose of the
hearing on said Resolution of Intention, together with a statement
that any person interested may file a protest in writing in the manner
and form required by law.
7. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the day, date and hour to
be hereafter fixed by the City Council as the time for hearing on the
question of forming the assessment district and hearing the Engineer's
Report, at the regular meeting place of said Council, Council Chambers,
City Hall, San Rafael, California, any and all persons having any
objections to the formation of said drainage maintenance district or
to the extent of said district, or both, may appear• before said
Council and show cause why the formation of said proposed drainage
maintenance district should not be carried out in accordance with
this Resolution of Intention.

Commencing at the southwesterly corner of the lands
now or formerly of A. B. Copeland, as described in Volume
8379 page 406, Official Records of Marin County; thence
S 690 321 E (S 690 28i 18" E) 1690.24 feet; thence N 200
281 E 17.56 feet; thence S 690 32t E 14.91 feet;. thence on
a curve to the right with a radius of 625 feet through an
angle of 610 48, 01" and having an arc distance of 674.14
feet; thence E 20.65 feet; thence S 1320 feet; thence W
200 feet; thence S 77° 52' 06" W a calculated distance of
