RESOLUTION AFFIRMING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
IN CONNECTION WITH THE RENAMING OF A PORTION OF
WEST END AVENUE TO SECOND STREET
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of San Rafael, on the 10th
day of August 19 65, recommended the renaming of a portion of West End Avenue
(between Marquard Avenue and the new First Street) to Second Street ;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of San Rafael determined that
the public necessity, convenience and general welfare required the change of street
name, in that, the change of street name follows the street naming pattern of the
neighborhood;
WHEREAS, the matter came on regularly for consideration by the City Council
of the City of San Rafael on the 16th day of August 19 65 ;
WHEREAS, evidence, both oral and documentary, was produced and good cause
appearing therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the recommendation of the Planning
Commission of the City of San Rafael to rename a portion of West End Avenue
to Second Street is hereby affirmed.

foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Council of the City of San Rafael held on the 16th day of
Auaust 19_§5_, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Aby, Baar, Barbier, Jensen and Mayor Bettini
NOES: Councilmen Pone
ABSENT: Councilmen None
