HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 3322RESOLUTION N0. 3322 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND DIRECTING CALL FOR BIDS FOR PROJECT 45, PHASE IV - THIRD STREET IMPROVEMENT (SIGNALS) WHEREAS, City Engineer, of the City of San Rafael, California, presented to the City Council of said City and filed with the City Clerk thereof, Plans and Specifi- cations entitled PROJECT 45, PHASE IV - THIRD STREET IMPROVEMENT (SIGNALS) and WHEREAS, said City Council has examined and considered said plans and specifi- cations and the same appear to be in all respects correct and proper; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDERED AND RESOLVED that said plans and specifi- cations be and the same are hereby approved as the official plans and specifi- cations for doing said work; IT IS HEREBY FURTHER ORDERED AND RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of said City be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause to be published in a manner provided by law a notice inviting sealed proposals for doing said work, which said notice shall contain among other things required by law, a statement of the time and place hereby fixed and appointed for opening, examining and declaring said proposals, to -wit: 8:00 o'clock PM, on Tuesday, the 7th Day of September, 1965 , at the Council Chambers of said City Council in the City Hall, on "A" Street in said City. KCORNWELL City lerk ORIC71NAI NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR PUBLIC WORK, VIZ: PROJECT 45, PHASE IV - THIRD STREET IMPROVEMENT (SIGNALS) Notice is hereby given that the City of San Rafael, Marin County, California will receive bids for furnishing all labor, materials, transportation, and services for the PROJECT 45, PHASE IV - THIRD STREET IMPROVEMENT (SIGNALS) Each bid shall be in accordance with the specifications and other contract documents now on file with the City Clerk, City Hall, San Rafael, California; and they may be examined and copies may be obtained at the office of the City Public Works Department at 622 Fourth Street, San Rafael, California upon deposit of Ten Dollars ($10,00) per set, $5.00 of which deposit will be refunded upon the return of such sets in good condition within five (5) days after the contract is awarded. Bidders are hereby notified that pursuant to Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City of San Rafael has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and rates for legal holiday and overtime work in the locality where the work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workmen or mechanics needed to execute the contract which will be awarded the successful bidder.
