RESOLUTION NO. l �l
RESOLUTION ENDORSING AND SUPPORTING THE UNITED BAY
AREA CRUSADE FUND RAISING DRIVE FOR 1965.
WHEREAS, the United Bay Area Crusade supports over one hundred
seventy-five local charitable agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, the United Bay Area Crusade returns more than ninety
cents 0.90) of every donated dollar directly to the local comnunitids for
widely varying services such as health and rehabilitation, family conselling,
community centers, services to the aged, maternity homes, the Red Cross, USO,
Salvation Army, and many others; and
WHEREAS, the employees of the City of San Rafael are being called
upon to join others throughout the entire Bay Area in donating to this cause;
and
WHEREAS, the United Bay Area Crusade 1965 fund raising campaign
will be conducted between September 27th and October 15th.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael endorses and supports the very worthy goals of the United Bay
Area Crusade; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael urges that all employees donate to this worthy cause.

that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at
a regular meeting of the Council of said City held on Monday the4day of
