HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 3424RESOLUTION NO. 3424 WHEREAS, the Division of Highways has constructed a new "on-ramp" for southbound traffic on the 101 Highway; and WHEREAS, said "on-ramp" involved -the closing of access to two city streets, which has created a decided hardship on an important segment of the city's commercial enterprises b.y creating a new and indirect access to said commercial enterprises; and WHEREAS, this new access has caused a substantial financial loss to the affected businesses as well as the City of San Rafael; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Rafael does hereby urgently request the Division of Highways to immediately commence plans and specifications to make a direct connection between the area of Second Street and Lincoln Avenue to the existing Francisco Boulevard west, and to Irwin Street. I, W. C. CORNWELL, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City held on Monday, the 2nd day of May, 1966, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: COUNCILMEN Aby, Baar, Barbier, Jensen and Mayor Bettini NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ORIGINAL.
