RESOLUTION COMMENDING SURFACE DIVISION
12-31 (S) OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL RESERVE
WHEREAS, there is located within this county, at 153 Madison Avenue,
San Rafael, California, one of the outstanding United States
Naval Reserve Divisions, and said Division's outstanding
performance has been recognized by appropriate and suitable
notice and awarded by Commandant, Twelfth Naval District and
other Naval authorities; and
WHEREAS, said unit designated as Naval Reserve Surface Division
12-31 (S) has contributed to the prominence and stature of
this county and has provided many young men the opportunity
to serve their country while continuing their education
and/or their profession; and it is recognized that many
members of said unit are serving and have served their
country in Viet Nam and elsewhere;
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that this Board notes with pleasure the suc-
cesses, achievements and contribution of Naval Reserve
Surface Division 12-31 (S), San Rafael, California, and
commends its members.
I, W. CLIFFORD CORNWELL, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted --//at a Regular meeting of the Council of said City held on

following vote, towit:
