RESOLUTION URGING SUPPORT OF
MISSION TO PROGRESS - 67
WHEREAS, 1967 is the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Mission
San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce desires to organize and
promote the observance of this occasion; and
WHEREAS, it is timely to draw upon both the business and residential
segments of our City to further this observance,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of San Rafael does
declare 1967 as the Susquecentennial anniversary of the
Mission San Rafael; does further declare "Mission to
Progress - 67" as its theme for this celebration; does
recognize said theme and celebration as a project of the
San Rafael Chamber of Commerce; and, does urge all
residents and the business community to support said
"Mission to Progress - 67" in observance of this
Susquecentennial celebration.

and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City
held on Monday, the 16th day of January, 1967, by the
