A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES
as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on be-
half of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with County of Marin
amending the Drug Abuse Bureau Agreement , a copy of which is hereby
attached and by this reference made a part hereof.
I, W. CLIFFORD CORNWELL, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council
of said City held on Monday the 2nd day of January
196 8 , by the following vote, to -wit:

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 2nd day of
January
, 19 68 , by and between the COUNTY OF MARIN, a political
subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as ''COUNTY'', and
the following Cities located within the County of Marin:
Belvedere, Corte Madera, Fairfax, Larkspur, Mill Valley; ':_-:.ito, San Anselmo,
San Rafael,.Sausalito and Tiburon
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the parties have heretofore entered into an agreement provid-
ing for centralized police services comprising a drug abuse bureau, and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to expand such centralized services to in-
clude police information network services;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties do hereby agree as follows:
1. That certain agreement effective,November 1, 1967, by and between
the parties, providing centralized police services, is hereby amended by the
addition thereto of Paragraph (4.5) to read:
(4.5) The Council shall administer and control the police information
network facilities secured by the County pursuant to agreement between the County
of Marin and the County of Alameda. Council shall establish appropriate rules
and operating procedures as are necessary for maximum efficiency and utilization
of said police information network. Council shall appoint a Marin County member
to the Police Information Network Policy Committee.
2. This amendment shall be effective January 1, 1968, and shall there-
after be subject to the provisions of Paragraph 7 of the agreement pertaining
to renewal and withdrawal.
3• In all other particulars said agreement for centralized police
services shall remain in full force and effect.
