Turrini has been presented with the annual "Fireman of the Year" award by the Marin County Association of Firemen; and WHEREAS, this honor has been bestowed upon Captain Turrini who courageously endangered his own health and safety by sharing life-giving compressed air with his fellow worker; and WHEREAS, through this heroic and unselfish act he has brought honor and distinction to the San Rafael Fire Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby commends CAPTAIN DAVID P. TURRINI on behalf of the citizens of San Rafael for this outstanding display of heroism over and above the line of duty. I, W. CLIFFORD CORNWELL, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly intro- duced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City held on Monday, the 5th day of February, 1968, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Baar, Barbier, Jensen and Miskimen NOES: None ABSENT: Mayor Bettini W.
