HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 3655RESOLUTION NO._ RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR STORM WATER PUMPING STATION AND RELATED DRAINAGE FACILITIES GLENWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL WHEREAS, San Rafael School District desires to develop the area adjacent to the Glenwood Elementary School and to construct additional school buildings on the site; and WHEREAS, the area to be developed for the School site located off Main Drive north of San Pedro Road is land at very low elevations which must be rais•-d with imported fill material for the construction of buildings; and WHEREAS, said area of land is now the terminus point for storm water runoff, said storm water does concentrate and pond in this area allowing remaining higher area to drain; and WHEREAS, it therefore becomes necessary to construct a storm drainage pumping station in order to provide drainage for the area when said lands are filled and the existing ponding area no longer exists; and WHEREAS, the San Rafael School District therefore has prepared plans and specifications for said storm water pumping station and proposes to call for bids in order to construct said pumping station, which will be done at the whole and total expense of the San Rafael School District; and WHEREAS, said storm water pumping station will become the property of and maintained by the City of San Rafael and the construction of said pumping station will be done under the inspection of and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer of San Rafael; -1- NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Rafael does hereby .-pprove the plans and specifications for the proposed "Storm Water Pumping Station and Related Drainage Facilities at the Glenwood Middle School". and does hereby further agree to inspect the construction of said Station and accept ownership and dedication of land to the City when completed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. 1, W.
