RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ACCEPT NEW STREET
WHEREAS, it becomes necessary that Clinton Street in the City of
San Rafael be closed permanently because of Highway "101" Widening now
underway; and
WHEREAS, the closing of Clinton Street will require a new City
Street off Paloma Avenue for access to adjacent properties; and
WHEREAS, said new street will be constructed by the State Division
of Highways under the Highway Contract and will later be relinquished to the
City of San Rafael as a City Street; and
WHEREAS, the State Division of Highways desires to place excess
lands for sale which will be served by said new street; and
WHEREAS, the State Division of Highways desires to certify to
prospective buyers of said excess lands that the new street will be accepted
and maintained as a City Street when completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of San Rafael, California,
hereby agrees to accept said street replacing Clinton Street into the City
Street System, and will agree to maintain said street in the future.
I, W. CLIFFORD CORNWELL, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of San Rafael held
on the 3rd day of February ; 19 69 , by the
following vote, to -wit:
