RESOLUTION NO. 4006
RESOLUTION FINDING AND DECLARING THAT A MAJORITY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE AGA INST THE'SAN PEDRO SCHOOL ANNEXATION11 .AND.APPROV�NG.SUCH ANNEXATION ELECTtNG TO PROCEED'THEREWITH'
WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the City of San
Rafael a petition for annexation, which petition initiated proceedings
for the annexation to the City of San Rafael, California, of the terri
tory described on Exhibit 1 1A1 1 which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein in full by reference, which territory the City Council of the City
of San Raf ae 1 des_i gnated as 11San Pedro Schoo 1 Annexat i on1 1; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael has hereto
fore adopted a resolution containing a notice of the time and place, when
and where the said City Council would hear written protests against the
said annexation by any person owning real property within said territory
proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing to be not less than forty
(40)nor more than sixty (60) days after the passage of said resolution;
and
WHEREAS, all notices of said heari�g have been given as required
by law; and
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of February, 1971 at the hour of 8:00
p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, City of San Rafael, Cali
fornia, the said City Council did hear and pass on all protests made
against said proposed annexation; and
WHEREAS, a majority protest was not made,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED as follows:
1.That the City Council of the City of San Rafael, California,
hereby finds and declares that a majority protest has not been made against
the above described annexation.
2.That the said City Council hereby approves the annexation
of the territory described on Exhibit 1 1A11 to the City of San Rafael and
elects to proceed with said annexation.

I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City held on the
16thday of February , 1971, by the following vote, to-wit:
