NO 1010
WHEREAS, the People of San Rafael have, during the
past twenty years, come to love and feel a sense of
indebtedness to Miss 'Edith Waterman, for her -untiring
and self-sacrificing efforts on behalf of the Red Croons
and,
1151EREAS, it is with deep regret that they now learn
of her intended retirement, although they are happy in
the knowledge that she is now choosing a little less
arduous way of life= and that she may henceforth devote
more of her time and effort to her own enjoyment.
NO11v THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of San Rafael express its appreciation to Miss
f 1r;aterman for her leadership and for her many years of
service to this cormwnity, and express the earnest wish
that she may bath in retrospect and in daily enjoyment
of a full and appreciative life, find now a reward for
her sacrifices of the past.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said
City shall forthwith transmit a copy of this resolution,
duly certified, to bliss Waterman in t4stimony of the public
esteem sought to be expressed thereby.
1, Eugene *CI. Smith, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly introduced, read and adopted
by the Council of sa-d City at a regular meeting
thereof held on Monday the 4th day of December, 1944
by the following vote, to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen: Albert, Brown, Culver, Herup
and Mayor Nock
Noes: Councilmen; None
Absent: Councilmen: Non®
