HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 624RESOLUTION NO , 624 Whereas, after careful consideration and consultation with prominent residents, and in the absence of anyone of known ability, necessary training and experience, to fill the important and responsible office of Chief of Police of our city. Be it resolved, that the City Council appoint one of its members, who will serve without compensation and, be it further resolved, that the City Council immediately employ a man of experience, who has had the proper and necessary training to reorganize and system- ize the Police Department, and be it further resolved that the Chief of Police appointed under the authority of this resolution must, before acting, submit all matters of importance and policy, to the City Council, for approval, and must also act promptly on any and all recommendations made by the City Council, all such actions and recommendations must be approved by a majority vote of the City Council, I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of San Rafael, at a Special Meeting of said Council held on Friday the 27th day of October, 1933 by the following vote to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Bates, Vanderlip, Webb and Mayor Nock NOES: Councilmen None ABSENT: Councilman Dutton Vii i WAAMUL"
