OF REAL PROPERTY. IN
WHEREAS, public interest and convenience require and
it is the intention of the City Council of the City of San
Rafael to re -align and relocate Third Street in said City over
a portion of its length, east of Mary Street therein, to a
location northerly from the existing location of said Third
Street; and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish said purposes it is
necessary to effect various and sundry transfers of real property
between said City and certain owners of property abutting on said
Third Street as the same now exists;
1NHEREAS, in order to accomplish said purposes the San Rafael
Development Company, a corporation, has offered to grant and convey
to said City the legal title to Third Street as the same now
exists over a portion of its length as well as a certain parcel
of real property owned by said San Rafael Development Company
lying west of the San Rafael Canal and south of said Third Street
and being the so-called 170 fo®t Canal strip, in exchange for the
transfer by said City to said Sen Rafael Development Company of
the following described real property situate in the City of
San Rafael, County of Marin, State of California, to -wit;
BEGIN';ING at a point on the Southerly
line of Third Street (Point San Pedro Road) at the Northeast corner
of that certain parcel of land conveyed by the San Rafael Development
Company to the Associated Oil Company by deed recorded July 21,
1924, in the Marin County Recorder's Office in Book 52 of Official
Records at page 124, thence North 150 191 East on the northerly pro-
1on;ation of the Easterly line of the above mentioned parcel of land to
a point which is South 480 081 East 42.00 feet, South 391 15t East
18.88 feet, and South 660 171 East 152.46 feet from the Southwest
corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed by time San Rafael
Development Company to the San Rafael Iiigh School District by deed
dated October 230 1923, and recorded in the Marin County Recorderts
Office in Book 29 of Official Records at page 459 thence South 660
171 East 245.52 to a point thence South 15° 191 Ylest to the Southerly

line of Third Street (Point San Pedro Road) thence following
the said Southerly line of Third Street Westerly to the point
of beginning.
NOW THEREFOR -E. IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that upon the delivery
by said San Rafael Development Company to said City of a good and
sufficient deed granting and conveying said real property herein
first described to said City thereupon the Mayor and City Clerk
of said City, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make
and execute on behalf of said City a deed granting and conveying to
said San Rafael Development Company the real property herein last
particularly described and to deliver the said deed to said San
Rafael Development Company.
