WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 767, Statutes of 1933, the Department
of Public Works, State of California, is -required to annually expend for
street improvement within the corporate limits of the City of San Rafael,
certain funds derived from the tax on motor vehicle fuel, and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has submitted to the Department of Public
Works an acceptable plan of improvement and expenditure of the said funds, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has submitted a Memorandum of
Agreement defining the work embraced in the project, the funds available
to defray the cost of the improvement, and delegating to the City of
San Rafael the expenditure of such funds.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor, acting in behalf of the
City of San Rafael, be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to enter
into the Memorandum of Agreement aforesaid and affix his signature thereto.
I, Eugene W. Smith, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at
a Special Meeting of the Council of the City held on Saturday, the 23rd
day of December, 1933, by the following voter to -wit: -
Ayes: Councilmen: Bates, Dutton, Vanderlip, Webb and Mayor Nock
Noes: Councilmen: None
