:—We THE problem of pasenger transpoirtdtion over the
Golden Gate Bridge is one of major importance, that must be solved well
In advance of the completion of the bridge span, and means determined
upon to provide repid transit by rail which would affect the ultimate
cost of the bridge; and
WELOREISs as various plans have been submittedo sad others
will be offered, it would appear advisable that the Board of Directors
of the Golden Gate Bridge District should be petitioned to institute at
once, a thorough survey of the bridge structure as well as a traffi0
survey, for the purpose of determining what definite plan will be adopted
to provide for an adequate, economical and rapid transportation system
Into Maria County and points north;
NOW, THEREFORE, the undersigned do hereby petition the
Board of Directors of the Bridge District to make such surv(,-:;; to )_•ovide
definite information to all public welfare organizations# witi-An '�l:Lo
district, regarding this vital and major problem.
I, EUGENE W. SMITH, Clerk of the Qity of San Rafael, hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at
a Special meeting of the Council of said City held on October the Ninth,
1934, by the following vote to -wit:
