RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DELIVERY OF DEED
TO PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY.
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael through its governing
body has negotiated with various and sundry persons, firms,
and corporations for various sales, purchases, and exchanges
of real property in order to make possible the re -alignment
of Third Street in said City;

did make, execute and deliver to PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY,
a California Utilities corporation, on behalf of said City
of San Rafael, a certain deed of conveyance granting and conveying
to said corporation the legal title to the realt'
property here-
inafter described for the sum of Two Hundred and Fifteen ($215.00)
Dollars;
WHEREAS, the deed to said real property aforementioned
is now in the
possession of the San Rafael Land Title Company
at San Rafael, California; '
WHERE -15, it appears to said City Council and said City
Council hereby finds that the sale of said real property herein-
after described for the sum of $215.00 to said Pacific Gas &
Electric Co. is for the best interest of said City of San Rafael;
that said purchase price is a fair and reasonable price for the
real property hereinafter described and that the sale thereof
to said Pacific Gas & Electric Company will facilitate the
consummation and accomplishment of the plan of said City of San
Rafael to complete said re -alignment of Third Street,
NOW 'THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and
in consideration of the payment of said sum of Two Hundred and
Fifteen ($215.00) Dollars, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND DETERMINED
by said City Council of said City of San Rafael that the sale of
said real property to said Pacific Gas & Electric Company be and
the same is hereby ratified and confirmed;
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the execution and delivery
of said deed aforementioned by said Mayor and City Clerk be and

the same is hereby ratified and confirmed and that the delivery
of said deed to said Pacific Gas and Electric Company be and the
same is hereby authorized and directed upon the payment of said
sum of $215.00 to the Treasurer of said City of San Rafael.
The real property described in said deed and the sale
of which is hereby authorized and approved and the conveyance
for which and the delivery thereof is hereby ratified and
authorized is more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate,
lying and being in the City of San Rafael, County of Marin,
State of California, described as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at a point on the northerly line of Third
Street, (Point San Pedro Road), distant thereon North 78° 491
West 118.90 feet and North 870 521 Trest 51.76 feet from the
Northwest corner of Third Street and Embarcadero Way thence
leaving the said northerly line of Third Street North 660 171
West 75.0 feet and South 20 32} West to a point in the Southerly
line of Third Street at the Northeasterly corner of that certain
tract of land conveyed by Wm. T. Coleman to G. Cheda by deed
recorded May 91 1883, in the Marin County Recorder's Office in
Book "Y" of Deeds at page 327, thence easterly along the southerly
line of Third Street 75 feet to the northwesterly corner of that
certain tract of land conveyed by A. Huck to Hans Iverson by deed
recorded February 16, 1881, in the Marin County Recorderls office
in Book 'tV"_ of Deeds at page 279, thence North 30 451 East 60.85
feet and North 660 17' West 6.81 feet to the point of beginning.
