RESOLUl'ION ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
DESIGNATI1vG FISCAL OFFICER AND 6PONSORS I AGENT'.
Wh.bREAS, heretofore the City Council of the City of
San Rafael did duly and regularly authorize and direct GEORGE
ii. STEELE, the City Engineer of said City, to prepare and
present to said City Council plans and specifications for the
improvement of Lincoln Avenue in said City from a point app-
roximately 100 feet south of the southerly line of Myrtle
Avenue northerly to the southerly end of the existing thirty
foot concrete pavement, a distance of 1350 feet by the
construction therein of a corrugated iron pipe storm drain
and catch basins, and the repairing or reconstruction of
concrete curbs;
WHEREAS, the necessary funds for iihe aoing of said
work shall be acquired from the available funds to which said
City is or may be entitled from the one quarter cent gasoline
tax apportionment together with funds to be ticquired from
WORKS PROGRESS ADMINISTRATION of the United States of America;
WHt�REAS, said City En ineer did on the �S day of
August, 1935, present to said City Council the priipi5sed plans
and specifications therefor, and said City Council having
examined and fully considered the same and uhe same appearing
to said City Council to oe in all respects adequate and proper
for said work and improvement and it appearing to said Council
that said plans and specifications ought to be approved,
NOW i -HEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND KESOLVED . tha"i
the plans and specifications for said work and improvement hereto-
fore prepared by said Ciy Engineer and presented to 'he City
Council, approved Augustath, 1935, by said City Engineer and now
on file in the office of the Engineer of said City oe and the
same are hereby adopted and approved as the plana and specifications
for doing said work and entitled "City of San Rafael -Lincoln Avenue
Storm Drain".
IT IS FURTH,-R ORDERED AND RESOLVED that said GEORGE
A. STEELE, City Engineer aforesaid, ue and he is hereby designated
and authorized as the Fiscal Officer and Sponsors' Agent with
power and authority to do and perform any and all acts or things
necessary or required by said Works Progress Administration in
the performance of said imrr ovement.
