IVEREAS, there is under consideration at the present time, a plan
whereby the County of Marin would own and operate the necessary radio
and auxiliary equipment to furnish a complete system of radio communi-
cation of emergency calls between the various law enforcement officers
of the County, Citti''es, and other PolitSubdivisions, and
WHEREAS, the ;A` - �ica`` '-7- `yia'`-• ��"�-�
realizes the urgentnecessity for such a system of radio communication
to coordinate the activities of the various law enforcement officers and
to afford a proper and adequate system of communication in the event of
a major disaster or emergency, and
WHEREAS, the wholehearted cooperation of the Legislative Bodies of'the
various Political Subdivisions is necessary to achiev such a system,

system insofar as it is found practical and economically possible to
do so.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it does hereby further agree, if par-
ticipation in use of such system is found practicable, to equip all
or as many of its police and other emergency vehicles as possible with
equipment adapted to radio reception and transmission in order to
participate to the fullest possible extent in the service to be
offered by such County radio system.
