BY AMENDING CHAPTER 11.04 THEREOF ENTITLED "ENCROACHMENTS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-
OF-WAY'; TO ADD NEW DEFINITIONS, NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR ENCROACHMENTS FOR
EMERGENCY WORK, AND NEW CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS FOR WORK DAMAGING PUBLIC
STREETS; AND BY AMENDING CHAPTER 17.10 THEREOF ENTITLED "DUMPING, DREDGING, AND
CONSTRUCTION WITHIN TIDAL WATERWAYS" TO REVISE PROCEDURES FOR OBTAINING A

of the ordinance in its entirety and refer to it by title only, and pass Charter Ordinance No. 1923 to print,

Ordinance amended as recommended by the City Attorney vis a vis the Planning Commission, also to
reflect language modifications in connection with hillside guidelines and narrow streets, together with
removing changes suggested relative to regulating bee -keeping, turning bee -keeping into a permitted
activity in the manner described by staff.

Jim Schutz, Assistant City Manager, issued a reminder of the Downtown Streets Team Coffee and
Doughnuts event, tomorrow, Tuesday, June 3, 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the Downtown City Plaza.
Jim Schutz gave a report and a PowerPoint presentation of his family's recent visit to Sister City Falkirk
(Scotland)

8. Councilmember Reports
Councilmember Colin reported on meetings she attended recently: Dominican HOA, along with Chief
Bishop, regarding homeless encampments. Federation of Neighborhoods meeting, discussing
homelessness; Workshop in the Canal by First Five Marin, regarding the Spanish Speaking Community;
Marin County Council of Mayors and Councilmembers meeting (MCCMC).
Councilmember Bushey reported having attended her first ribbon -cutting ceremony at Copperfield's Book
Store Coffee Shop and La Placita Market Opening.
Councilmember McCullough reported having attended the grand reopening of the Orchard Supply
Hardware Store and visiting, along with Mayor Phillips, the Central Marin new Police Station
Mayor Phillips discussed going to the Central Marin new Police Station
Mayor Phillips reported on: Meeting with the President of Bio Marin. Talking with Peter Lee. SMART
funding. Conducting a wedding. Meeting with Andrew from the Downtown Streets Team. Attending
hearing on the Magic Touch Massage Parlor. GREAT editorial. Receiving a Water Hero badge from
MMWD for water reduction plans in place in San Rafael.
