Home My WebLink AboutPW San Quentin Pump Station Reconstruction Project; Thompson Builders; First AmendFIRST AMENDMENT TO THE PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACT WITH THOMPSON BUILDERS CORPORATION FOR THE SAN QUENTIN PUMP STATION RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT THIS FIRST AMENDMENT to the Public Works Contract by and between the CITY OF SAN RAFAEL (hereinafter “CITY”),and THOMPSON BUILDERS CORPORATION (hereinafter “CONTRACTOR”),is made and entered into as of . RECITALS WHEREAS,the CITY and CONTRACTOR entered into a Public Works Contract dated December 7,2022 for work in connection with CITY’S San Quentin Pump Station Reconstruction Project,for an amount not to exceed $6,538,725 (the “Contract”);and WHEREAS,the CITY and CONTRACTOR entered into seven (7)Change Orders to the Public Works Contract between July 13,2023 and August 27,2024,to deduct and add additional work in connection with CITY’S San Quentin Pump Station Reconstruction Project, decreasing the total not to exceed under the Contract to $5,804,327;and WHEREAS,under the terms of the Contract,the Contract Time was to expire on December 7,2024;however CITY and CONTRACTOR,agreed informally that the Contract Time would be extended,and now wish to ratify and memorialize that extension. AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT NOW,THEREFORE,the parties hereby agree to amend the Contract as follows: Article 5 of the Contract,entitled “Time for Completion”is hereby amended, effective as of December 7,2024,to extend the Contract Time by two (2)years through December 7,2026.
