Louise Yost
WHEREAS, Louise Yost has served on the Pickleweed Advisory Committee for the
City of San Rafael for 23 years from 2002 – 2025; and
WHEREAS, prior to her appointment Louise has been a community advocate and
attended public gatherings and meeting to support all members of the
Canal community with a special focus on environmental and social
issues; and
WHEREAS, Louise’s involvement has greatly shaped the development and
effectiveness of the Albert J. Boro Community Center and Pickleweed
Park and the programming offered within; and
WHEREAS, Louise, as a resident and supporter of the Canal community, has
welcomed attendees to the annual Dia de los Muertos celebration by
playing the steel pans in the Community Center lobby; and
WHEREAS, Louise has served the City of San Rafael with both passion and
compassion; making certain along the way that each solution advanced
and improved the quality of life in San Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, KATE COLIN, Mayor of San Rafael, do hereby proclaim my sincere
appreciation to
Louise Yost
for her important contributions and community service to the City of San Rafael.
