AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHARTER ORDINANCE NUMBER 175 DEALING WITH
AND ADOPTING AN ELECTRICAL CODE FOR THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL,
ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO TO BE NUMBERED SECTION "4a" , INTER-
PHfETING SECTION 4 OF SAID ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMPO-
SITION OF ADDITIONAL INSPECTION FEES
The City Council of the City of San Rafael do ordain as follows:
Section 1: Charter Ordinance Number 175 of the City of San Rafael
is hereby amended by adding a new 0900# section to said
ordinance to be numbered Section 4a and which shall read as follows:
"Section 4a: It is hereby expressly declared to be the purpose
and effect of Section 4 of this ordinance and of Section 9 of
the Standard Electrical Code therein referred to, to provide
for and require the payment of a fee for each improvement or
alteration therein mentioned according to the schedule therein
set forth for the permit therein referred to and the rough
inspectionvwhichAvis made in the course of the making of the
improvement or alteration, and the payment of a like fee at
the time of the final inspection and prior to the issuance of
a certificate of approval and acceptance. Notwithstanding
anything elsewhere provided in said code or this ordinance, the
City Electrical Inspector is hereby instructed and directed to
withhold the certificat e7approval or acceptance upon making his
i. final inspection unless and #ntil a second fee is paid in the
amount of the original permit fee hereinabove referred to."
Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once in fmll before
its final passage in the Marin Journal, a weekly newspaper printed,
published and circulated in said city, and shall be in full force
and effect thirty days from and after its final passage.
The above and foregoing Charter Ordinance No. .7 C 4 was introduced at a
meeting of the Council of the City of San Rafael held on ?s't v+� the 94 day
