HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 15498 (South Merrydale Road - Civic Center Connector Pathway Project)RESOLUTION NO. 15498 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CSWST2 TO PROVIDE DESIGN AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES FOR THE SOUTH MERRYDALE ROAD – CIVIC CENTER CONNECTOR PATHWAY PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $469,963 WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael (“City”) advertised and solicited a Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with the City’s Municipal code released on October 3, 2025, for the project entitled: “South Merrydale Road – Civic Center Connector Pathway Project” City Project No. C441146310 the Department of Public Works received two proposals; and WHEREAS, staff reviewed the proposals and identified CSWST2 to be the most qualified firm; and WHEREAS, the cost proposal from CSWST2 was found to be complete and within industry standards; and WHEREAS, the project has received funding through the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) Measure B Funds and TAM Safe Pathways Grant Program to perform an environmental assessment and complete design for the project; and WHEREAS, funding to support the recommended Agreement is provided within the amended Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26 budget which reflects carry-over of available unencumbered FY2024-25 appropriations (South Merrydale Road – Civic Center Connector Pathway Project – Gas Tax Fund 206). NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows: 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement with CSWST2 to provide design and environmental services for the South Merrydale Road – Civic Center Connector Pathway Project in the amount not to exceed $469,963, in a form approved by the City Attorney. 2. The Director of Public Works or designee is hereby authorized to take any and all such actions and make change as may be necessary to accomplish the purpose of this resolution. I, LINDSAY LARA, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San Rafael, held on Tuesday, the 20th day of January 2026, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmembers: Bushey, Hill, Kertz, Llorens Gulati & Mayor Kate NOES: Councilmembers: None ABSENT: Councilmembers: None _____________________ Lindsay Lara, City Clerk
