As provided by Section 3.28.060 of the Municipal Code, the Council will set the tax based upon a budget recommended by the City Manager. The recommended rate for 1991/92 is $28.00 per living unit and $.025 per square foot for nonresidential properties. The rate for the last two years was $25 per unit for residential and 2.24,1 per square foot for commercial. The rate last year was limited to $25 because that was the maximum rate in the unincorporated area served by our Fire Department.
