The event re -named this year as "Give "n" Clothe Household Goods Drive" is now a county wide event because of the success in San Rafael. The event is also occurring in Terra Linda, Novato and Mill Valley locations simultaneously on the same day. The 2012 San Rafael event raised $5600.00 dollars in vouchers for the Ritter House clients while supplying Goodwill with much needed donations to support its operation. In six years the total number is approaching $40,000 thousand dollars in San Rafael. This year will combine a major outreach by Goodwill to get clothing and donated items in mutual support of the Ritter Center and the local San Rafael Goodwill in a consolidated one day effort. By closing Ritter Street, Goodwill and Ritter Center members will process an increased volume of donors along Ritter Street for this one day this year, on September 21st. Signage will direct donors to Ritter Street by entering at Third and Lincoln, and then will be directed to exit back on to Third Street west of the entrance after the donations have been processed by volunteers on Ritter Street.
