U i��" W MIA L111iZNWI 11,•iii, SEEM=& M BACKGROUND: The City of San Rafael partners with the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the role of small business in our community. The City of San Rafael joins the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Business Improvement District in support of our many local small businesses and recognizes May 12-16, 2014 as Small Business Week in San Rafael. As part of Small Business Week, the City of San Rafael also would like to recognize the valuable training and other resources provided by the many business support organizations located in San Rafael such as the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, the Marin Small Business Development Center (part of the Small Business Administration), Working Solutions, Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE), Canal Alliance, Venture Greenhouse, Sparkpoint Marin, Marin Employment Connection, and education partners such Dominican University and the College of Marin. OPTIONS: 1) Adopt the Resolution. 2) Direct Staff to Modify the Resolution 3) Refuse to Adopt the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: None.
