'WJIEUAS, Wan Than is an active emissary in the 'Vietnamese community, promoting integration of new
immigrants into the Canal neigh6orhood and the City, founding the Vietnamese American Triendship
Group, organizing EngGsh classes for Vietnamese seniors and newcomers and the Vietnamese Language

WNERXAS, pian Phan also serves the 'Vietnamese community 6y translating safety information into
Vietnamese andorganizing the annualTet holiday andWoon (Festivalcele6rations, and
'WHEREAS, Wah Phan promotes multi -cultural understanding and neigh6orhood improvements, having
served on the Tickleweed ParkAdvisory Board, the Warin County Sheri fAdvisory Board and the Canal
Transportation (plan Stakeholders Committee, as well as leading the CanalBeautifi'cation (Project and
organizing neigh6orhood cleanup days, and
