RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL APPROVING USE OF
AND ACCEPTANCE OF FEDERAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT FUNDS IN
THE AMOUNT OF $22,171.00 FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PROGRAMS
Whereas, the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice
Assistance granted the City of San Rafael $22,171 in Justice Assistance Grant
(JAG) funds; and,
Whereas, this block grant money may be spent to pay costs associated with
Law Enforcement Programs; and,
Whereas, the Department will use those funds for enhancing service delivery
needs through augmenting supplies and equipment purchases; and,
Whereas, the City Council must approve use of the grant funds to begin the
process of grant approval;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the use
of and accepts $22,171 in Justice Assistance Grant funds.
I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the San Rafael City Council meeting held on the 2nd day of May
2005 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller
